The Lastest FDA approved injectable

Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA approved synthetic injectable material known as “poly-l-lactic acid”. Sculptra is a very long lasting injectable filler mostly for volumizing the face and filling in naso- labial folds or hollows under the eye area.

Sculptra is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss. Sculptra provides a gradual increase in skin thickness. Visible results appear within the first few treatment sessions. Usually it takes 4-6 treatments to get the best results. It also depends on how much volume loss a person has. No skin testing is required prior to use. At the first treatment visit it may appear that Sculptra worked immediately because of swelling from the injections and the water used to dilute Sculptra. In a few days when the swelling goes down and water is absorbed by the body the treatment area may look as it did before treatment. Sculptra takes time to gradually correct depressions in the skin. The number of treatment sessions and the amount of Sculptra needed at each session will differ for each person. The patient will come every 4 weeks for a treatment until the proper amount of correction is obtained and the pt is happy with the results. Completed treatments usually lasted for up to 2 years. Touch-up treatments may be needed to maintain the desired effect. The most common side effects include bleeding, tenderness, pain, redness, bruising or swelling at the injection sites. These effects usually subside between 3-14 days. Massaging must be done for the first 2 weeks after the treatment is performed to reduce the chance of small bumps from forming under the skin.

This is a great treatment for anyone looking for a more youthful appearance…
